We are licensed, bonded, and insured by the state of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Arizona. This is important because licensed roofing contractors must pass examinations based on specifications, standards, and practices supported by roofing industry professionals, and they must meet mandated qualifications in verifiable work experience, education, and moral character. This is essential to you as the homeowner because it protects you in the event a worker gets injured on your property. Licensure also helps protect you from “storm-chasers,” and out of town scammers looking to make a quick buck.
For your convenience, we accept cash, check, and credit cards. We also offer financing for qualified homeowners.
Costs vary greatly depending on the pitch of your roof, the type of shingles, the condition of the roof, and how many layers of shingles you have. The best way to find out is to have a free inspection done by Tacheny Exteriors.
Many factors affect whether or not hail is damaging to a roof. Age and condition of a roof impact how large a hail stone needs to be to cause significant damage. In general, marble-sized hailstones or smaller do not typically cause damage to a roof. However, if you add high winds this can change.
Every roof is different. Though it depends on the size and scope of the job, and availability of materials, generally speaking, a roof replacement takes a few days.
A roofing underlayment is also known as felt paper, or synthetic barrier that is installed on the wood sheathing beneath your shingles. It helps protect your roof from wind-driven rain that can get beneath your shingles and potentially cause water damage to your home.
While hail storms can vary tremendously, even in a small area, if a large hail storm comes through the area and is accompanied by wind, it is likely you may have experienced damage, too. The best way to find out is to have a free inspection done by Tacheny Exteriors.
Claims can take anywhere from a couple days to a couple months to even a couple years depending on the scope of work to be done and how quickly your insurance company and Tacheny Exteriors come to an agreement.
Typically, the only out of pocket expense is your deductible. By law, Tacheny Exteriors cannot “wash” your deductible or give any discounts or coupons towards it. Any upgrades would also be an out-of-pocket expense. Another out of pocket expense would be unrecoverable depreciation.
Insurance DOES NOT cover rot. If you have any rot on your home, you can more than likely expect them to deny that portion of the exterior remodel.
Tacheny Exteriors has a Platinum preferred status with Owen’s Corning. This status is obtained through volume, longevity in the industry, and workmanship. Given that we meet their rigorous installation guidelines and carry a broad assortment of Owens Corning products, we are able to offer a much longer warranty underwritten by the manufacturer.
This depends on condition of tile and if a close match replacement is available.
We go to the boneyard and find the nearest match available! We place these in a non-visible location to save you additional expense.
Unlike Minnesota, where warmer weather is preferred for asphalt shingles, some peel and stick underlayments are more difficult to work with in the Arizona summer sun. Shingles tend to damage easier when walked on in summer sun.
